A little history from Kyoto

Kazurasei’s story began in Kyoto in 1865, when Eikichi Shimofuri opened a shop serving women’s hair styling needs with wigs, hair ornaments and beautiful small accessories.

In 1882, the second generation renamed the shop “Kazurasei” and became a trusted purveyor to the Kyoto Imperial Palace. In 1936, the business moved to the Gion area, where its spirit of Japanese beauty and craftsmanship continues today.

This set carries that tradition into an everyday ritual—bringing the warmth of Kyoto craftsmanship to your dressing table.
