The story of Echizen lacquerware

Echizen lacquerware is a traditional craft rooted in Fukui Prefecture, especially the Kawada district of Sabae. With a history of around 1,500 years, its layers of natural urushi and careful hand-finishing have given Japanese lacquerware its depth, gloss, and lasting character. This thermo mug reimagines that heritage for modern daily use, pairing a Sakura motif with the convenience of a lightweight insulated tumbler.
